Job Description


* Range Strategy: compile market data, analyze competition, propose technology segmentation, develop strategic options together with Marketing, R&T, Manufacturing, Purchasing and Supply Chain

* Competitive forces: map the competition and their relative cost position for our key technologies, develop strategic approaches to ensure relative cost competitiveness of Huntsman TE, coordinate analysis of competition products between R&T and TR teams, collect information and make it available to Sales and TR teams

* Pricing process (including CEL Reactive Products): responsible for the profitability of products under respective portfolio, collect information on competition pricing, define price bands and process price requests from the Sales regions (via TEPP MI process), produce regular updates on product cost development based on input from Manufacturing and Purchasing, monitor range profitability and propose price increases where needed

* Sales & operations planning (S&OP): decide (together with GRM team) on product transfers (siting decisions), communicate product related issues to Sales and TR teams, engage with Process Development team on manufacturing related projects. Member of GRM and SRRM teams as BU representative

* Innovation: member of PMG, define cost structure, set new items up, define product specifications, coordinate launch with GME, GDSM & GMM

* Product quality: review specifications for existing products, define specifications and approve quality for product transfers / re-sale products, take decisions regarding off spec material, is copied on customer complaints and engages to expedite satisfactory closure and gives support when needed for technical and customer application complaints; responsible for approving new standards

* Portfolio management: define and review portfolio strategy with GMM, identify phase-out candidates, propose replacement products; communicate withdrawal notice

* Product EHS: drive registration of all new products (global and local), partner for P-EHS for Oekotex, GOTS and REACH registration decisions

* Patent and trademark issues: coordinate actions to reinforce our intellectual property, take decisions on filing and renewal of trademarks


Education: Bachelor degree in textiles chemistry, engineering or similar; business administration

Experience: Minimum 5 years professional experience in Sales, TR, Product Management, Manufacturing or Supply Chain

Know-how/skills: Effective networking, negotiation and communication skills (incl. English), presentation, company IT systems
