We are seeking a highly capable and driven Accounting Manager to oversee operational accounting & taxation, lead process improvement initiatives, and manage ad-hoc transformation projects. This role requires strong expertise in accounting operations, tax specialist and SAP processes, with the ability to drive change, enhance efficiency, and prepare the accounting & taxation functions to support management and growing business environment.
The following are main tasks and main responsibilities, but not limited:
Role Expectations
Operation Accounting and Month-End Closing, Policy and Principles:
- Manage day-to-day accounting functions including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, fixed asset and reconciliations.
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Monitor and analyze accounting data and propose financial statements to Management.
- Manage the chart of accounts and monthly reconciliations.
- Support accounting staff and management in related issues of SAP systems and operation accounting.
- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles
- Coordinate with External & Internal Auditor and Revenue Department regarding statutory and accounting compliance matters.
- Provide financial information to management and department heads.
- Adhoc as assigned.
Internal Control, Risk Management and Compliance:
- Manage accounting-related internal controls to ensure compliance with the requirement of local standards.
- Evaluate and mitigate financial risks associated with accounting treatment by implementing appropriate guidelines/policies and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
- Supervise the accounting section and ensure timely, accurate financial data.
Tax Management & Compliance:
- Support tax preparation and compliance with local regulations.
- Support accounting staff and management in related taxation matters.
- Advise on tax issues to management and manage disputes with tax authorities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Master's degree or CPA is an advantage).
- At least 5 years in an accounting and taxation environment, preferably within the automotive industry
- Proficient in English and Thai (written and spoken); fluency in Korean is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Approachability when dealing with internal and external parties
- Ability to identify business-related processes that require improvement
- Strong analytical capabilities to assess financial data and trends
- High level of proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
- Hands-on experience with SAP (FI/CO modules preferred)
- Certified Accountant (CPD) required.
