Financial Statements: Prepare, review, and analyse financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Month-End Closing: Oversee the month-end closing process for all transactions related to profit and loss (P&L) and balance sheets (BS).
Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and review monthly P&L reports, provide analysis, and offer commentary to business leaders. Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations for all accounts and follow up on exposures for responsible business lines.
Fixed Assets Management: Manage fixed assets for assigned business lines.
Audit Activities: Support quarterly and year-end financial audits and the annual corporate financial controls audit.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and in-year forecast adjustments. Generate executive reports for variance analysis.
Process Improvement: Evaluate current practices and procedures, recommending improvements.
Compliance: Ensure all operations and reports comply with Corporate Mandatory Compliance (CMC) standards.
Ad Hoc Analysis: Conduct ad hoc analyses and manage special projects as needed.
General Ledger Management: Supervise and manage general ledger accounting functions.
Staff Development: Develop and manage staff by setting performance goals, providing ongoing training, and fostering strong employee engagement.
External Auditors: Collaborate with external auditors to ensure accurate and timely year-end closing and reporting.

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) designation preferred.
Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience.
Previous experience in a managerial or supervisory role.
Experience in public accounting or auditing is a plus.
Strong understanding of accounting and finance principles.
Superior analytical skills with the ability to make confident, fact-based decisions.
Ability to work well under high-pressure situations to meet deadlines.
Effective multitasking and management of numerous simultaneous priorities.
Proactive in forecasting issues to prevent potential impacts internally and externally.
Strong business partnering and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
Familiarity with IT systems such as Innervisions, Leverton, SUN, Cognos (OTIS experience preferred).
Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking).
