Assessing market trends, quantifying opportunities and developing marketing programs, Field Marketing at Dell Technologies is at the forefront of customer engagement. Responsible for a specific location, department or product, our teams drive marcom strategy - from making budget recommendations to defining roadmaps and informing content themes. Interacting directly with customers and utilizing third-party customer data, they provide Dell's product marketing and messaging team with game-changing feedback. At the highest level, they develop and drive marketing policies and activities, from market research through brand management and product development to pricing.

What you'll achieve
As a Field Marketing Director, you will lead a team focused on the development and execution of the go-to-market field marketing plans to support specific growth initiatives, localizing and adapting global content and programs to achieve sales demand.
You will:

  • Develop APJ Marketing integrated marketing strategies and roll out across the region.

  • Align and work in lock step with APJ business unit leaders to ensure marketing plans support key business priorities.

  • Work with Corporate Marketing, International Marketing, BU Marketing, Field, Partner and CORE and Specialty Sales and cross-organizational functions to create a plan of initiatives that are in alignment with brand strategy, BU strategies, business plan objectives, and existing corporate programs.

  • Develop and execute agreed upon marketing programs and sales tools in APJ and creation of/or participation in 3rd-party industry events.

  • Manage our segment marketing and campaigns strategy for APJ.

  • Lead overall APJ digital marketing strategy as well as the execution of search and engagement/advertising. Act as the key relationship owner with our Media agency. Enable and provides insight to country marketing teams on content syndication and digital demand generation.

  • Manage to a defined budget.

  • Lead our events strategy and manage the adaptation, design and execution of flagship regional events.

  • Work with APJ regional field, channel and BU sales leads to determine best practices for targeted and broad-base business programs.

  • Manage communications flow to the country marketing team to ensure assets and campaigns are aligning with the market in an integrated marketing approach.

  • Leverage Alliance partnerships to ensure integrated marketing programs and activities as applicable.

Essential Requirements

  • Values based and empathetic people leader who is passionate about empowering and developing a high performing and energised team.

  • Min 15 + years of experience leading a regional or field marketing team in a fast-moving B2B environment.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills and strong presentation, written and verbal communications skills. Ability to communicate conceptually and tactically - including strategy, planning, data insights and execution details.

  • The candidate must have good business acumen, be sales-focused, responsive, creative, strategic, proactive, and hands-on, with the ability to work with all levels of management across the organization and translate data and insights into strategy and action plans.

  • Experience in managing and executing all aspects of regional marketing including events, digital, ecommerce, ABM, vertical programs and propensity based outbound programs.

  • Experience in managing large scale, flagship marketing events.

  • Self-starter with demonstrated ability to manage, collaborate, leverage and thrive in a fast-paced matrix environment.

  • Ability to identify new opportunities and strategies to add value to the business and establish project teams to implement

  • Strong budget management and reporting skills.

  • Sound understanding of the IT market - Hardware, Cloud and Services. As-a-service experience a plus.
