Job Description


  • To assist in the smooth and efficient running of the Human Resources Division and the implementation of Hyatt Purpose throughout the hotel.
  • Assists to review the progress of the hotel's Training Plan and make recommendations where necessary.
  • Assists Heads of Department in identifying training needs within each department.
  • Assists to co-ordinate and monitor the hotel's Training Plan and Calendar.
  • Assists to co-ordinate the compilation and review of the hotel's Departmental Operations Manuals.
  • Assists with the monitoring of departmental standards as defined in the Departmental Operations Manual.
  • Responsible for the security and maintenance of the hotel's Training Room, Training Equipment and Materials.
  • Advises the Learning Manager / Director of Human Resources of any new support material that would be beneficial to the hotel.
  • Ensures that the recommended quota of Departmental Trainers is trained for each department.
  • Ensures the maximum utilisation of Departmental Trainers in each department.
  • Assists to plan, implement and monitor, in conjunction with other members of the Human Resources Division for the departmental training
  • Assists to implement and monitor the company's training materials, including Global Development Essentials, Leadership Training and other e-learning initiatives.
  • Monitors the performance of the Trainees ensuring they are developed to their maximum potential and efficiency.


  • Good presentation, administrative and interpersonal skills are a must.
  • Minimum 2 years work experience as Assistant Manager - Learning in larger operation.
  • Positive outlook & team player with good communication.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and keep calm in difficult situations.
  • Proactive work style.
