Business Development Executive (Chinese Speaking)

Report to: Sr. BD Manager / Managing Director

Job Summary

The Business Development Executive (Chinese Speaking) is responsible for identifying customer needs, driving new business opportunities aligned with the company's strategy and portfolio, and providing comprehensive packaging solutions. This role requires strong communication skills in both Chinese and English, along with a proactive approach to sales growth and customer relationship management.

Main Responsibilities

  • Take accountability for achieving sales growth objectives by implementing strategic initiatives aligned with company directives. This includes identifying new business opportunities, cultivating leads, and managing the sales pipeline effective.
  • Collaborate closely with global and Asia sales teams to nurture and expand key global accounts. Develop comprehensive account plans to accelerate sales growth and drive customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct accurate sales forecasting for assigned global key accounts, leveraging market insights and customer data to identify growth opportunities and accelerate revenue generation.
  • Engage with customers to understand their specifications and requirements, providing tailored solutions that meet or exceed expectations. Prepare and present proposals that address customer needs effectively.
  • Initiate and coordinate with the engineering design centre to ensure seamless integration of customer requirements into product design and development processes. Facilitate communication between sales, engineering, and other relevant departments to deliver value-added solutions to customers.
  • Coordinate and oversee customer service activities to ensure timely delivery of services and documentation, maintaining high standards of quality and compliance with customer requirements.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, or related field from a reputable university.
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management roles, especially within the Automotive and Battery sectors preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate customer needs into actionable business plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Additional knowledge of plastics, wooden, and paper packaging is advantageous.
  • Comfortable with cold calling and new business sales development.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the local region.
  • Eligible to work in Thailand without visa sponsorship.

Skills And Competences

  • Demonstrate fluency in both spoken and written Chinese (Mandarin) and English, facilitating effective communication with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Possess good computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant software tools.
  • Make informed decisions to address various challenges encountered in business development endeavors and consult with relevant stakeholders, leveraging creativity and a dedication to continuous self-improvement to optimize work efficiency.
  • Possess a valid car driving license and the ability to drive in Thailand.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in reading drawings and analyzing complex business-related documents, with the capability to interpret them effectively.
  • Excel in working under pressure to meet tight deadlines and navigate high-stakes situations with composure and efficiency.
  • Display a strong service-oriented mindset, prioritizing the needs of clients and stakeholders to deliver exceptional service experiences.
  • Maintain a focus on cost efficiency in decision-making processes, ensuring prudent allocation of resources and maximizing value for the organization.
