Our client is seeking a Business Development Manager (x1 vacancy) to join their dynamic team in Bangkok. About the Business Development Manager Role:

As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in understanding the payments landscape in Thailand, identifying opportunities, developing strategies, and executing plans for mobile payment. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth partneronboarding and service launches while maintaining full compliance with business ethics, audit, and regulatory guidelines. Your ability to negotiate effectively will be crucial as you work towards improving pricing and marketing support. You will also establish strong relationships with key decision makers within various sectors. Youranalytical skills will come into play as you monitorKPIs related to connections and identify optimisation opportunities. This role offers a competitive base salary with attractive benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand the payments business in Thailand to identify, qualify, develop, manage and execute the supply pipeline for mobile payment
  • Support smooth & efficient partners on-boarding & service launch, ensuring full compliance to business ethics, audit, and regulatory guidelines
  • Negotiate with partners to improve pricing & marketing support and manage operational contract addendum, invoice & settlement issues
  • Establish and manage strong relationships & rapport with key decision makers in carriers/eWallet/PSPs/merchants
  • Become key problem solver for partners in any matters related to mobile payments
  • Analyse and monitor KPIs related to the connections and find optimisation opportunities
  • Manage partners supporting features and work with partners for improvement projects
  • Work closely with APAC management to develop the payment strategy; ensure alignment on commercial strategies and business objectives

The ideal Business Development Manager will bring a wealth of experience in business development, project management, marketing or product development.

Key Requirements:

  • A university degree/diploma in any discipline; preferably in Business Administration, Sales & Marketing
  • At least three years of experience working in a combination of business development, project management, marketing or product development
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in both English and Thai
  • Experience managing complex projects, collaborating & engagement with internal & external cross functional teams & key stakeholders
  • Customer-centric focus, an analytical mindset, and attention to detail
  • Experience working in the Payment, Telco, eCommerce, FinTech; preferably in Mobile Payment, Alternative Payment, Local Payment Methods
