As a CI & Sustainability Engineer, you'll lead the development and execution of impactful policies and initiatives aligned with our company's objectives. Responsibilities
Develop and implement sustainability policies, programs, and initiatives aligned with company goals.
Conduct research to identify opportunities for improving environmental, social, and governance performance.
Engage with internal and external stakeholders to promote sustainable business practices.
Manage sustainability projects, including planning, timelines, and deliverables.
Monitor compliance with sustainability standards and regulations.
Prepare sustainability performance reports for the Manufacturing Director.
Serve as a resource on sustainability issues for employees, customers, and stakeholders.
Develop and manage budgets for sustainability programs.
Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to promote sustainability efforts.
Stay updated on sustainability developments and share relevant information with employees.
Participate in industry associations and professional networks focused on sustainability.
Ensure effective daily meetings in plants for targets, priorities, and performance.
Facilitate problem-solving and implement effective root cause analysis systems in all plants.
Enforce layered audit systems (5S, Process Verification, Safety Observation).
Support the implementation of good practices and standard work (procedures, work instructions).
Support visual tracking of SQDC KPIs and cascade throughout the plant, including OEE.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in environmental science, sustainability, or a related field.
Over 3 years of experience in sustainability or a related field, including significant involvement in operations at a continuous process plant for at least 2 years.
Strong project management skills.
Proficient in research and writing.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience involving employees in process improvement initiatives.
Demonstrated experience in involving employees in process improvement initiatives and either supervisory management or clear potential for supervisory roles.
