Key Responsibilities:

As a sub-editor, you guard the voice of foodpanda and our affiliated brands. You create, proofread and optimise the English language content that gets distributed across 12 markets or localized by translators. You bring value to everything you write and edit (including social media campaigns, internal projects, offline marketing materials, 360 campaigns, press releases, CRM flows, communication for our riders and vendors, product writing) because you understand the unique copy requirements of every online and offline platform. You engage with the project management of translators to ensure timely delivery of assets and content sign-off across markets.
That means you expertly and creatively coordinate foodpanda's content activities in terms of content creation, editing, following brand guidelines, and monitoring. Your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Proofreading and sub-editing English copy for various regional and local marketing projects.
  • Improving the English content of CRM flows, social channels, SEO articles, performance channels, TVCs, OOH, multimedia, product writing, employee and rider branding projects.
  • Collaborating with other departments and external partners to deliver exceptional content.
  • Aiding in original brand content creation for multiple channels.
  • Contributing to agile content ideation of concepts that delight, entertain, engage and inspire.
  • Assisting with stakeholder management on content-related initiatives.
  • Consulting colleagues on the use of language, punctuation, grammar, and tone of voice.
  • Managing the execution of the content strategy across multiple business verticals.
  • Independently managing multiple projects and stakeholders.

Who we are looking for:
  • An Editor: You are responsible for proofreading and editing content and campaign ideas. You are the go-to person for other teams on the ground for all editing- and content-related questions in English.
  • A Neat Freak: Your attention to detail leaves no mistake a chance. You always ensure that the story flows better and fits a particular word count.
  • A Content Creator: You're generating creative content that will be used on our website, online magazine, newsletter, offline material, and social media.
  • A Team Player: You ensure the best creative execution of our content strategy.
  • A Communicator: You are able to sell your lingusitic/grammatical choices to stakeholders, and justify the purpose of changes, often to non-native English speakers.
  • A Social Media Addict: You're ready to guard the voice of foodpanda on social media in all of our English-speaking territories.

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in journalism, marketing or a related field would be preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years relevant experience in content editing, creating, advertising or branding.
  • You are socially savvy and have good knowledge of the social media landscape.
  • You are both a strategist and an executor, you know how to take an idea from a line in your notebook to the next game-changing campaign.
  • You're attentive, organized, flexible, and highly motivated.
  • You have a strong understanding of international marketing and the online delivery industry, in terms of both business trends and social media developments.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Able to work independently, detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task.
  • Fluency in English.
