Overview:
The Data Analyst plays a pivotal role in transforming raw data into meaningful insights that drive informed business decisions across the organization. This role involves analyzing complex datasets to uncover patterns, trends, and correlations, as well as communicating findings through compelling data storytelling.
Beyond analytical work, the Data Analyst champions data democratizationempowering business users to access, interpret, and utilize data independently. The role requires a balance of strong technical skills in Python and SQL, coupled with the ability to facilitate discussions, translate insights into business context, and lead data forums focused on self-service analytics and collaboration.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze large and complex datasets to identify patterns, trends, and actionable insights that inform business decisions.
- Translate business challenges into data-driven questions and design analytical approaches to address them.
- Clean, transform, and leverage data from various sources to support analytical and reporting needs.
- Develop data storytelling materialsincluding reports, visualizations, and presentationsthat communicate insights in clear business terms.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to ensure that analytical outcomes are relevant, practical, and aligned with organizational goals.
- Lead and facilitate data forums to promote collaboration, knowledge sharing, and the adoption of self-service analytics among business users.
- Advocate for and contribute to the data democratization initiative by empowering teams to use data confidently and responsibly.
- Maintain documentation and share learnings to enhance data literacy and analytical capabilities across departments.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience of at least 3 years as a Data Analyst or in a similar data-focused role.
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL for data manipulation, analysis, and automation.
- Solid understanding of data visualization and storytelling techniques to communicate complex insights effectively.
- Strong business acumen and ability to connect analytical findings to business challenges and opportunities.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to lead discussions and present insights to non-technical audiences.
- Experience in leading or facilitating data forums, workshops, or training sessions is an advantage.
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive in identifying opportunities to improve data usage and decision-making.
