The Enterprise Digital Specialist Team (DSTU) is a newly formed team with a charter to support Microsoft’s enterprise customers as they start to use Azure to solve their business problems and to accelerate growth and change in their organisation. This Digital Sales Team is at the forefront of establishing a new Enterprise sales model leveraging modern technology and big data and analytics to drive deeper solution penetration and Azure usage. Our goal is to be technical, available and valuable for our managed enterprise customers as they get started with Azure.
The Azure Hunter role is focused on bringing managed enterprise customers onto the Azure platform. As part of this role youwill help realize the Company’s key strategic focus to increase our customer base of Azure Enterprise customers.You will need to cover a large sales territory by profiling customers and using intelligence to prospect effectively,identifying new Azure opportunities and driving rapid Azure adoption. To achieve this, you will need to partnerwith our marketing and partner counterparts to leverage every avenue available to support acquisition at scale.You will lead the collaboration of the virtual team of technical, partner and consulting resources to advance thesales process and achieve/exceed Azure new customer acquisition targets, as well as Azure sales andusage/consumption targets in your assigned accounts. You will build and maintain relationships with customers,influence long-term strategic direction and drive engagement with senior level contacts, software developers andIT architects. You will help customers evaluate our cloud platform for their applications, recommend solutionsthat meet their requirements, remove roadblocks to deployment and drive customer satisfaction.​
Whilst Microsoft are happy to hire this role initially in Bangkok or Singapore, this role ultimately will need to be based in Sydney, Australia. Please only apply if you are willing to relocate once Covid travel restrictions ease.
  • ​40% of your time will be spent with customers identifying andsurfacing new engagements that align with the customer’sbusiness strategy. You will work with partners and others atMicrosoft, as well as use our core tools, targeted account lists toidentify and engage prioritized customers.
  • 40% of your time will be spent on using Challenger salestechniques to bring ideas to customers, show how Azure cantransform our customers’ businesses and convince customers toact now. You will achieve this by positioning Microsoft’s technicalleadership to become a trusted advisor and drive migration andinnovation solutions. You will work with a team of Microsoftexperts and partners to lead presentations, demonstrations andarchitecture design sessions with the objective of driving rapidadoption of Azure. Importantly, this adoption will need to result intangible business outcomes to ensure customers continue to growtheir Azure footprint into the future.
  • 20% of your time will be spent on managing your territory as abusiness and investing in your own skills to remain top of yourgame. You will stay sharp, attaining and maintaining requiredcertifications.   • 2-4+ years’ experience selling cloud services to commercial or public sectorwith a focus on cloud application modernization, cloud data services, or cloud infrastructuretechnologies​
  • fluent thai preferred
  • experience generating net-new customers in a large scaleterritory​
  • account management. effective territory/account management: planning, opportunity qualification and creation, stakeholder and executive communication, needs analysis, services/partner engagement, opportunitymanagement and pipeline management
  • executive presence. experience and expertise selling to lob decision makers, technical decision makers &enterprise solution architects by aligning & reinforcing the value of the solution to the customer’s overallbusiness pain and/or strategic opportunities and decision criteria
  • problem solver. ability to solve customer problems through cloud technologies, specifically solutions related to cloud native apps – containers & serverless, microservices, migration to cloud, hybrid cloud, datacenterinfrastructure modernization, devops/devtest
  • collaborative. orchestrate and influence virtual teams to pursue sales opportunities and lead virtual teamsthrough influence
  • cloud platform. understanding of cloud platforms including azure platform services, hybrid cloud technologies, developer tools and services and/or complementing solutions. requires the ability to engage withdevelopers and it architects as trusted advisors. requires the ability to articulate and present the business valueof microsoft's azure apps and infrastructure related cloud solutions and have firm understanding of microsoft'sstrategies and products relative to major competitors
  • leadership. experience leading large cloud deals especially those involving application portfoliomodernization and migration, and effectively leveraging the right partners and microsoft engineering resources
  • competitive landscape. knowledge of enterprise software solutions and cloud platform competitor landscape
