An exciting Engineering Manager has just become available at one of the most respected manufacturing based in Chonburi. Reporting directly to the Plant Director, this is a role for an expert who is a leader in their field.

Our client is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to oversee the daily operations of their engineering department. This role involves a variety of responsibilities, including new product introduction, manufacturing, customer interface, equipment design/commissioning, and maintenance. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the engineering team's successful delivery of high-quality products, meeting the company's objectives, and continuously driving the team's growth and efficiency improvement.

What You'll Do

As an Engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of our client's engineering department. Your primary responsibility will be ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality products that meet customer expectations. You will work closely with various teams within the organisation as well as external stakeholders such as customers. Your leadership skills will be crucial in mentoring your team towards professional growth while also driving continuous improvement within your department.

  • Manage and oversee the engineering department's day-to-day operations, including new product introduction, manufacturing, customer interface, equipment design/commissioning, and maintenance.
  • Develop and maintain product design and manufacturing processes to ensure that the products are of high quality and meet customer expectations.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including production and quality, to ensure seamless production processes and successful product launches.
  • Provide information for RFQ to PMO department. Work directly with Commercial Team and customers on technical topics.
  • Work closely with customers to understand their needs and ensure that products are developed and produced in accordance with customer requirements, achieving high customer satisfaction.
  • Drive continuous improvement (CI) for cost saving and work efficiencies through process optimization, automation and other ways.
  • Lead and mentor the engineering team to develop their skills and expertise, provide guidance and feedback, and ensure their professional growth and development.
  • Manage equipment design, commissioning, and maintenance activities, ensuring that they are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Provide engineering technical support to production and other departments in regards to quality investigations on NCRs, CAPAs and customers complaints.
  • Continuously monitor and improve the engineering department's performance to meet the company's objectives and improve efficiency and productivity.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate for the Engineering Manager role will bring a wealth of experience in a similar role, preferably within the medical device manufacturing industry. You will possess a strong knowledge of engineering principles, particularly in relation to the design, manufacturing, and maintenance of medical devices. Your excellent leadership skills will enable you to effectively lead a team of engineers, while your strong communication skills will allow you to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders. Your ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, coupled with your strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, will be crucial to your success in this role.

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the medical device manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering principles, including design, manufacturing, and maintenance of medical devices.
  • Excellent leadership skills including the ability to lead a team of engineers in the medical device manufacturing industry.
  • Strong communication skills including the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with project management software and tools.
