SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Support the Enterprise Security Domain BD function in APAC via building, developing and maintaining solution-oriented materials supporting Oracle's Enterprise Security portfolio. In addition to this, build materials that aid with removing security-related objections in the course of an OCI opportunity.


  • Create referenceable assets such as well-architected reference solutions incorporating security best practices, landing zones, security blueprints for common customer use-cases, blogs etc.


  • Collaborate with the Domain BD leader to develop re-usable content and collaborate with Enterprise Security Experts and the Regional BD leader in the development of same.


  • Maintain strong relationships with Product Management across OCI Security, Database Security and Identity and Access Management.


  • Promote Oracle Security in all aspects of engagement such as value selling with presentations/workshops, demonstrations, business value/ROI definition, implementation/deployment use cases, etc.


  • Develop and deliver high quality content, customized workshops to meet internal, customer and partner needs.


  • Actively keep abreast of innovations introduced in Oracle Enterprise Security services on a regular basis to talk authoritatively with internal stakeholders, customers and partners.



RELEVANT SKILLS and EXPERIENCE


Essential:


  • 7+ years of BD/Sales/presales experience positioning, demonstrating, and articulating the benefits /business value proposition of Security solutions.


  • Good understanding of the security domain across on premise and Cloud offerings.


  • Ability to demonstrate cloud based security solutions is a MUST.


  • Deep expertise on at least 3-4 following subdomains of Security - Cloud Infrastructure Security, Identity and Access Management, including IDaaS (Identity-as-a-Service), Data Security, Database Security, Application Security, API Security, Information Security.


  • Good understanding of customer datacentre environments (Applications, DBs, Apps servers, networks etc) & public clouds- Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.


  • Demonstrate effective Negotiation and Conflict resolution skills


  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and highly comfortable speaking across all levels of management including C-Suite and technical / non-technical audiences


  • Demonstrate basic developer skills and be fluent in at least one of the back-end programming languages like Java, Python etc.



Desirable


  • Good knowledge on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Cloud Security capabilities


  • Good knowledge on Oracle Database Security and Identity & Access Management (IAM) solutions


  • Have strong understanding of security standards (like OAuth, SAML etc.) and specifications/frameworks (like NIST, CIS etc.)


  • Preference would be given to candidates demonstrating a sound level of commercial acumen in addition to the core technical skills.


  • OCI Certified Architect Associate, with an ability to get certified at Professional level within six months of hire.

Business development personnel providing domain expertise to internal stakeholders, as well as customers and partners.
Assist the Enterprise Security Domain BD Lead in providing re-usable content to facilitate the growth of Enterprise Security revenue (license) and consumption (cloud) in addition to removing customers&rsquo objections related to Cloud Security, as part of a prospective move to the cloud. Contribute during the sales cycle for establishing Oracle's credibility in the security area. Participate in industry/product functions, seminars and round tables to remain up to date on industry or product knowledge. May deliver presentations/solutions to high level clients and industry conference attendees. May provide training to field sales on solutions.
Assist in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interact across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. Ability to influence thinking or gain the acceptance of others in sensitive situations is important.
Provision of specific industry or domain expertise to facilitate Oracle's security business as well as the removal of objections that typically arise in the course of an OCI opportunity. May provide enablement to field sales/presales on industry/solutions. Build and maintain a network and remain up-to-date on security-specific industry or product/technology knowledge.
