Financial Analyst (Tech)

Duties and Responsibilities

Cost Analysis and Reporting:
. Analyze and assess technology-related financial data, including IT infrastructure costs, software
licensing expenses, cloud service subscriptions, and vendor contracts.
. Generate regular reports and dashboards to provide insights into technology spending patterns
and trends.

Identifying Cost Optimization Opportunities:
. Identify areas where cost optimization can be achieved without compromising the quality and
effectiveness of technology solutions.
. Evaluate existing technology processes and tools to identify inefficiencies and propose
improvements.
. Lead or participate in cross-functional teams to implement cost reduction initiatives, such as optimizing cloud resource utilization, consolidating software licenses, or streamlining IT processes.

Vendor and Contract Management:
. Thoroughly review and analyze all contractual agreements with technology vendors and service providers including software licensing subscription and partnerships.
. Identify and understand the financial implications and obligations within contracts.

Budget Planning and Forecasting:
. Contribute to the development of technology budgets by providing insights into historical spending patterns and projected costs.
. Work with IT leadership to develop accurate forecasts and scenarios for technology expenses.
. Keep up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to cost optimization in the technology domain.

Qualifications
. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field Master's degree is a plus.
. Proven experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and cost optimization, preferably within a technology-focused environment.
. Understand terms and contracts with all technology vendors, service providers and software subscription.
. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and trends.
. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with vendors and internal stakeholders.
. Proficiency in financial modeling and spreadsheet software.
. Project management skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams.
. Familiarity with relevant financial regulations and compliance standards.
. Awareness of technology infrastructure or cloud services is a plus.
