Job Description

Position Summary

The Head of Coffee Operations is responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of coffee business operations, including store performance, operational excellence, business expansion, store development, and customer experience. This role ensures brand consistency, profitability, and sustainable growth while driving innovation in coffee operations, store design, and market expansion.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

  • Lead daily operations across all coffee stores to ensure smooth, efficient, and profitable performance.
  • Develop and implement operational standards, SOPs, and service excellence programs.
  • Monitor sales performance, labor productivity, food and beverage quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Drive operational improvements to enhance efficiency, cost control, and guest experience.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and company policies.
  • Collaborate with supply chain and procurement teams to maintain product quality and inventory management.

Business Expansion & Growth

  • Develop and execute expansion strategies aligned with company growth objectives.
  • Identify new business opportunities, market trends, and potential store locations.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, sales projections, and location analysis for new store openings.
  • Manage new store opening timelines and coordinate cross-functional teams during expansion projects.
  • Support partnership development where applicable.

Store Design & Development

  • Work closely with BD team and designers on store concept development and layout planning.
  • Ensure store design reflects brand identity, operational efficiency, and customer flow optimization.
  • Review and approve store layouts, equipment planning, and operational functionality.
  • Oversee renovation and remodeling projects to maintain brand standards and improve customer experience.
  • Coordinate with project management teams to ensure timely and cost-effective store delivery.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop operations managers and store teams.
  • Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Support recruitment, training, succession planning, and talent development.
  • Foster strong communication between operations, marketing, finance, HR, and product development teams.

Financial & Strategic Management

  • Manage operational budgets, P&L performance, and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Analyze KPIs, sales reports, and operational data to support business decisions.
  • Develop strategies to increase revenue, profitability, and operational scalability.
  • Support menu engineering, pricing strategy, and promotional planning.

Brand & Customer Experience

  • Ensure consistent brand presentation and customer experience across all locations.
  • Monitor customer feedback and implement service improvement initiatives.
  • Stay updated on coffee, retail, hospitality, and lifestyle trends to keep the brand competitive and relevant.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Retail Management, or related field.
  • 7–10+ years of experience in coffee, F&B, retail, or hospitality operations management.
  • Strong experience in multi-unit operations and business expansion.
  • Knowledge of store development, design coordination, and project management.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and strategic planning skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Passion for coffee culture, customer experience, and retail innovation.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in specialty coffee or premium café brands.
  • Understanding of market trends, consumer behavior, and lifestyle retail.
  • Ability to manage fast-paced, multi-functional projects.
  • Detail-oriented, result-oriented, and highly operationally driven.
