Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Hotel Operations Manager to oversee the operations of The Cocoon Hotels, our growing hotel chain in the beautiful island of Phuket, Thailand. As the Hotel Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our hotels and delivering exceptional guest experiences. We prefer Thai nationals who possess a deep understanding of the local culture, customs, and hospitality industry.



Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and strategic direction to the hotel operations team of The Cocoon Hotels to achieve operational excellence and deliver exceptional guest satisfaction.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of all departments, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, maintenance, and guest services.
  • Ensure adherence to The Cocoon Hotels brand standards, policies, and procedures to maintain a consistent and high-quality guest experience.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to streamline operations and enhance efficiency across all departments.
  • Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities to ensure cleanliness, functionality, and adherence to safety regulations.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to identify areas of improvement and implement appropriate strategies to achieve targets.
  • Manage and optimize hotel inventory, including rooms, amenities, and supplies, to maximize revenue and minimize costs.
  • Train, mentor, and motivate staff to deliver exceptional service and uphold The Cocoon Hotels reputation for excellence.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to drive revenue growth and implement effective promotional strategies.
  • Handle guest feedback, resolve complaints, and ensure guest satisfaction by promptly addressing any concerns or issues.
  • Utilize hotel OTT (Online Travel Technology) platforms effectively to manage online bookings, rates, and availability, ensuring maximum visibility and revenue optimization.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in hotel operations management, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Extensive knowledge of hotel operations, including front desk operations, housekeeping, food and beverage, maintenance, and guest services.
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • In-depth understanding of the local hospitality industry in Phuket and a network of industry contacts.
  • Familiarity with hotel OTT platforms for managing online bookings, rates, and availability.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in Thai and English.
  • Proficient in using hotel management software and other relevant technology.
  • Degree or diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred.
