About The HR Manager Role

In this role, you will work with the management team to understand and execute the organisation's HR and talent strategy, particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning. Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the management team to understand and execute the organisation's HR and talent strategy, particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning
  • Manage the talent acquisition process, which includes recruitment, interviewing and hiring of qualified job applicants; collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings
  • Conduct employee onboarding to ensure that any new team member is set up for success
  • As part of employee onboarding ensure that all appropriate and required background checks have been completed and are appropriately recorded and filed
  • Implement processes and support managers with probation and periodic reviews, appraisal processes, conducting exit interviews, and other HR processes required from time to time
  • Analyse trends in compensation and benefits; research and propose competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organisation attracts and retains top talent
  • Analyse trends in HR metrics including time-to-hire and employee attrition rates
  • Create learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees
  • Plan and organise team meetings, offsites and team building activities
  • Provide support and guidance to management and other staff when complex, specialised, and sensitive questions and issues arise
  • Oversee employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations
  • Ensure employee files, job descriptions are up to date and appropriately filed in accordance with company policies and applicable data privacy laws
  • Maintain compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations, and recommend best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management and employment law

To succeed in this role, you must have good communication skills in English.

Key Requirements

  • Proven working experience as HR Manager or other HR Executive
  • People oriented and results driven
  • Demonstrable experience with human resources metrics
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases
  • Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
