As the Human Resources Manager, you are responsible for managing HR activities while supporting the business growth including developing and implementing a full range of human resources programs while providing leadership in the implementation of various strategic and operational human resource initiatives. They will ensure the linkage of HR strategies with business objectives while being responsible for assuring that HR programs, policies and activities are developed and delivered in an effective and timely manner. This includes but is not limited to, employee relations, leave management, performance management and recruiting.

Specifically, you will:

  • Strategically lead and fully execute key HR Initiatives to support the business
  • Influence decision-making with leaders and key business partners
  • Translate strategical concepts into actionable and effective plans
  • Provide the full range of day-to-day HR support for the plant, including staffing, employee relations, performance management, organizational development/continuous improvement, benefits, compensation and training & development.
  • Identifies opportunities for improvement in internal processes and makes constructive suggestions for change.
  • Manage all employees relations. Coach and counsel employees and managers in addressing interpersonal and behavioral challenges.
  • Assist in the interpretation and application of company policies through effective guidance for managers and employees, ensuring compliance with local labor requirements/ regulations.
  • Work with recruiting resource to ensure efficient staffing of open plant positions.
  • Lead performance management and compensation processes.
  • Manage benefits program locally, assisting with benefits-related questions.
  • Champion site communications plan by driving understanding of business goals and objectives including lean initiatives. Support meetings with the site leadership team.
  • Assist the HR Director with organizational development, planning and creation of HR processes to build organizational capability for the Division.
  • Drive employee engagement throughout plant by fostering open and honest communications channels, ensuring trust is being built with local leadership team, and using individual and group incentives where appropriate.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field required.
  • At least 8 years of progressive HR experience including supervisory roles.
  • Working knowledge of employment law and industry best practices.
  • Capable of influencing plant/business leaders to drive HR initiatives.
  • Proven track record of building strong relationships vertically and horizontally within an organization.
  • Must possess excellent communication, presentation and leadership skills
  • Results oriented mindset with ability to prioritize and complete projects.
  • Self-motivated individual with the desire to succeed and motivate others
  • Must be professional and customer focused
  • Ability to manage confidentiality at all levels
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Workday software experience (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Six sigma program (preferred)
