Inventory Control Manager

The Stock Control Auditor is a field-based role responsible for planning and managing Stock Audit programs by ensuring that all available resources are utilized to the full, to achieve the objective of an accurate and correct Stock Audit.

Responsibilities

  • Overall responsible of WMS(s) data integrity
  • Responsible for Logistics onboarding and offboarding of clients
  • Responsible for Warehouse Transfer transactions
  • Responsible for Adjustments in WMS (proper SOP with sign off from Finance as well)
  • Responsible for cycle counts/Full Stock counts/Audits/Inspections
  • Ensure compliance on end to end Inventory Management and process are executed according to SOP/Policy to achieve stock accuracy across all systems and channels (FBM)
  • Plan and Execute regularity stock take with aCommerce Own Warehouse and 3rd Party Warehouse(s) as well as Coordinate the plan with Key Stakeholders from Commercial, Internal Audits, Partnerships and Accounting teams
  • Conduct on site audit into the Inbound and Fulfillment and 3PL procedures, including checking accuracy of documents, throughout the year
  • Reporting back to the GM Supply Chain on findings from each warehouse visited by way of an Audit Compliance checklist and suggested improvement plan
  • Coordinate with Warehouse and Accounting teams to plan inventory counts which include cycle counting, location audits and recounts, including monthly stock reconciliation
  • Plan and execute regularly inventory count which include cycle counting, location audits and recounts, including monthly stock reconciliations
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting and stock reconciliations with outsourced fulfilment partners (e.g. JD) and FBM
  • Produce Stock Audit Reports per warehouse and an overall Stock Audit Report (warehouse migration, cross warehouses and cross partners)
  • Perform product inspections to determine if product meets established specifications. This includes identifying product to determine if product is good so it can go back to stock or if product should be written off.
  • Identify any gaps and recommend any improvements to related Inventory processes
  • Propose improvement plan and ensure stakeholder buy in to drive further strategy and initiatives
  • Execute the Improvements plan in line with Stock Audit report
  • Ensure optimal management of Short/Near expiry products, liaising with Commercial team
  • Manage the planning and inventory of packaging material, liaising with Procurement function for the purchasing activities
  • Responsible for correct configuration & training of WMS
  • Ensure optimization of warehouse space and drive capacity planning exercises

Qualifications:

  • A completed Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.
  • 3+ years direct management experience, including a salaried workforce, in a warehousing or distribution environment (Preferable B2C).
  • Experience with performance metrics and process improvement and Lean techniques.
  • Experience with the full staffing lifecycle, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and terminations.
  • Candidates must be flexible to work a variety of hours as business demands, including weekends and holidays.
