Purpose of role:

Key Account Manager role will lead commercial and execution strategies for CVS and large-format customers. Responsibilities include managing customer relationships, driving sales growth, optimizing trade investment, ensuring in-store execution, and coordinating with supply chain partners for product availability. The role covers all commercial interactions from account strategy and pricing to promotional activities and requires close collaboration with trade marketing, planning, marketing, logistics, and finance

Responsibilities include:

Strategic Account Management & Customer Relationship

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans (including JBP and business reviews) for CVS and Large format
  • customers.
  • Establish strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers (buyers, category managers, stakeholders).
  • Strengthen business partnerships through regular HQ visits and contact strategies.
  • Provide timely weekly/monthly reports with performance insights at both store and account levels.

Profitable Revenue & Sales Target Achievement

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets (sell-in and sell-out) by brand and category.
  • Optimize trade investment and customer profitability through effective margin and mix management.
  • Monitor and analyse promotions to drive return on investment and improve commercial efficiency.
  • Manage trade spend within budget with clear ROI accountability.

In-Store Execution & Distribution Management

  • Ensure excellent execution of 5Ps (Product, Price, Promotion, Place, POSM) in-store as planned.
  • Coordinate with trade marketing and field execution teams to roll out promotional activities.
  • Ensure planogram compliance and maintain consistent product availability at DC and store levels.
  • Proactively resolve distribution and OOS (Out-of-Stock) issues.

Forecasting & Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Prepare accurate sales and demand forecasts; manage inventory levels and returns effectively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, finance, supply chain) and distributors for business alignment.
  • Identify performance gaps and initiate corrective actions to ensure business goals are met.
  • Deliver timely and accurate internal reports

Data-Driven Strategy & Insights

  • Analyse customer data, market trends, and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities and white space.
  • Deliver actionable insights on category, consumer behaviour, and store-level performance.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with data-backed performance analysis.

Team Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Contribute to team and organizational objectives through strong cross-functional collaboration.
  • Identify and propose improvements in processes and systems to enhance operational efficiency.

Who are you

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration and Marketing or related field.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in sales, account management.
  • Preferable in FMCG, Personal care, Pharmacy and Grocery experienced
  • Deep understanding of CVS and large format land scape, particularly 7-Eleven (CPALL), CJ, Makro etc.
  • Strong negotiation, planning, and analytical skills
  • Experience managing and leading end-to-end execution and working cross-functionally
  • Strong understanding of customer journeys, retail integration, and channel dynamics.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to interpret analytics and translate into action.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and project coordination skills.
  • Agile, collaborative, and customer-focused approach
