We have an exciting NSX Advanced Load Balance Consulting System Engineer role open in our GCR NSX Network and Security team! You will be a highly motivated, entrepreneurial-minded pre-sales professional who has a passion for delivering world-class technology and services to our customers from the network to the Cloud. As part of your DNA, you are an aggressive, self-starter with the ability to build executive relationships, develop and execute GTM strategies and tactics that maximize VMware NSX ALB opportunity within the customer environment, position and promote the partner and customer value proposition for VMware Network and Security Architecture, articulate VMware NSX product and business strategies, and create the demand that makes deals happen!
The NSX ALB Consulting Systems Engineer engages a multi-functional team daily which may include account executives, technical specialists and product managers within VMware, as well as appropriate people from the customer, These include, but are not limited to, Executives, Technology buyers, Technology or Business Consultants, Architects, Engineers, Administrators and any other departmental liaisons.

Job Description
As a VMware NSX ALB Consulting Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for driving the technical sales cycles to ensure customer success and revenue goals derived from VMware NSX ALB. You will be completely focused on selling the value of VMware ALB.
Focus and passion of our CSE:
  • Present VMware Virtual Cloud Network vision and technologies, strategy, and product roadmaps to executives, technical management and technical engineers
  • Serve as the subject matter expert in VMware ALB solution
  • Maintain deep technical and business knowledge of ADC Solution, cloud computing and networking applications, industry directions, and trends
  • Maintain working knowledge of competitive architectures. Work with technology experts to help them position VMware ADC solutions effectively against competing offerings.
  • Assist sales in preparation of proposals, statement of work, and supporting documents for prospects. Provide guidance and assist account teams within the territory in building solutions to address specific customer security needs
  • Lead the NSX ALB lighthouse project, provide specific solution/technology/product consulting, technical and sales support for major account opportunities
  • Work collaboratively with sales associates, product management, technical marketing and engineering during the development, launch and continuing refinement of NSBU products, understand business requirements for customer base and be able to translate them into technical requirements
  • Maintain, grow, and leverage technical pre-sales relationships with key partner field organizations and VMware System Engineers
  • Provide technical consulting, upper level management presentations, in-depth and high-level technical presentations for customers while allowing local account team to maintain long-term ownership
  • Participate and present at roadshow and tradeshow, customer and partner training

  • Minimum 8+ years experience in technology related work, including pre-sales systems engineer or customer-facing engineer working on large scale enterprise and service provider environments
  • 5+ years in ADC specialization experience, with F5/Citrix Netscaler is plus
  • Consistent track record of leading and winning technical and high value IT projects, Experience of load balance use cases, have a detailed understanding of ADC
  • Passionate about technology and its impact on customers
  • Must be comfortable and have a desire for hands-on duties supporting customers during product demonstrations, training, and PoCs
  • Exceptional communication and listening skills, ability to build rapport and credibility and clearly articulate a value proposition.
  • Ability to effectively and energetically present technology and business propositions to customers, peers, and management.
  • Analytical abilities, coupled with a strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive.
  • Expect 50% travel requirement
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, related field or equivalent experience
