Lead Performance Engineer - Capital Markets FX

Key Responsibilities

The Lead Performance Engineer is a member of an Agile Team responsible for non-functional (Performance) testing of software developed in Bangkok for our Capital Markets FX RFQ Product (FXall) The Lead will be required to maintain and enhance the Performance test framework to provide a capability to test Non-Functional requirements. The Lead QA Engineer is an Individual Contributor who is encouraged to provide the testing capability through their technical expertise.

Role requirements:

  • Study non-functional requirement specifications and raise clarifications to business analysts and customers.
  • Build, maintain and update Performance scenarios based on the requirement specifications.
  • Reporting of Performance test results to technical partners.
  • Solve issues in Performance test scripts.
  • Work closely with Development teams in analysis of Performance results.
  • Communicate risks to quality and testing schedules to Quality Manager.
  • Reporting sophisticated issues with clarity and at an appropriate level for Senior Stakeholders.
  • Provide daily, weekly status updates to managers.
  • Act as a technical lead on Performance test execution and strategy.
  • Create and build Performance test plans, estimates and improvements to test process.
  • Research into new QA tools methodologies and suggest improvements to the team.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience required.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science/Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 4 - 6 years hands on experience in Performance testing of multi-tiered applications.
  • Experience of working within the Financial Sector and has a knowledge of Capital Markets FX RFQ trading lifecycle or related.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a Lead in an Agile team.
  • Experience in creating Performance test plans and reporting to technical partners.
  • Knowledge of Peak, Load and Soak test types and demonstrate a clear understanding of standard software QA processes and methodologies.
  • Experience of defining and maintaining Performance environments and Scripting performance tests based on requirements.
  • Experience of server and application monitoring.
  • Experience on 3-5 years of Automation using Java (Command line and GUI applications), SQL knowledge.
  • Experienced in Linux, Git, JMeter or another similar tool, Jira.
  • Ability to grasp technical and proving experience quickly is essential.
  • High attention to details and strong communication skills with ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to train and mentor other QA team members.
  • Proficient in using Jira/Confluence.
