About The Unit

Yara is the world's largest producer of ammonia, nitrates and NPKs, offering solutions for sustainable agriculture respecting the environment. Yara Africa & Asia (YAA) produces, sells, distributes and markets fertilizers and industrial products across Asia Pacific and Africa regions, with offices location and operational units in 20 countries. The region employs over 1800 employees and has a long history in the Asian Pacific and African markets, focusing on develop crop nutrition concepts that increase food production and create value to the growers, in particular smallholder farmers, whilst minimizing environmental impact of agricultural activities.

Responsibilities

  • Providing technical support and advice to farmers on how to optimize crop production
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with farmers, agricultural organizations, and other stakeholders
  • Making presentations to farmers and other stakeholders on products and services offered
  • Managing a sales territory and meeting sales targets
  • Promoting the company's application to potential customers and demonstrating its features and benefits
  • Maintaining relationships with existing customers and identifying opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional products
  • Providing technical support to customers and answering questions about the organization's products and services
  • Maintaining accurate records of sales activities, including tracking customer orders, preparing reports, and updating customer databases
  • Providing agronomic support to customers by assessing their needs and recommending solutions.
  • Supporting marketing activities to inform farmers and other stakeholders about products

Profile

Education & Experiences

  • Bachelor's degree in agronomy, agriculture, business, marketing, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in business, sales consultant in the agriculture or agronomy industry, or a related field
  • Experiences in Dealer and Sub-Dealer channel
  • Experience with customer relationship management

Knowledge & Skills

  • Knowledge of industry trends and market conditions
  • Strong knowledge of crop production and agronomy principles
  • Familiarity with agricultural products and services, including fertilizers, pesticides, seeds, and other inputs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to make effective presentations and build relationships with clients
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage one's own time effectively Proficiency in computer programs and technologies, such as Microsoft Office

Other Requirements

  • Proficiency in English & Fluent in Thai
  • Driving License required
  • Ability to travel within a designated sales territory
