Sales Operations Manager - APJ Business Partner Renewals
The Sales Operations Manager will report into the Global Director of Sales Operations and will be responsible for providing operational oversight and excellence in our APJ renewals business. This role is a people management position and this person will lead a small team to provide the required operational end to end support, to instill appropriate operational governance and key process oversight in activities such as pipeline management, data quality, data modelling, and sales forecasting support. This role also requires the person to be the designated operational business partner to the Snr Director APJ of Renewal Sales.
Primary Responsibilities include:
  • Coach, mentor and be the manager to your direct reports ensuring they operate in and to our corporate EPIC values
  • To identify and remove any single points of failure with process ownership and to develop multiple subject matter experts within APJ Renewals Sales Operations so that the team can support, and can all play their part on corporate cross functional projects and initiatives
  • Tactically to ensure your team are performing weekly, monthly and quarterly opportunity pipeline analysis, data validation and identify gaps and actions required to remediate
  • Tactically to drive weekly, monthly, and quarterly forecast process, consolidation and analysis with your direct reports and designated business partners
  • To elevate and establish your own brand alongside APJ Renewals and be the accountable operational owner for the Sales Operations within Renewals in APJ
  • Provide critical business insight to your designated business partners based on business acumen and data analysis, and to be able to identify issues and recommend action plans
  • Dive deep into details to understand how systems, tools, and processes are working today, assess how that matches to long term strategies
  • Support the ad hoc cyclical operational needs of the business such as territory planning exercises, post Qtr analysis, quota setting & performance management (commissions)
  • Collaborate and coordinate projects and programs across multiple stakeholder groups into clear streamlined path for sales to execute on
  • Develop any additional required metrics and communications strategies to drives better outcomes or improves overall operational efficiency of Renewal Sales Operations (specifically in APJ)
  • Ensure you establish solid partnerships with with key sales, BU, and operational teams to assist you and your teams overall efforts

  • 5+ years of experience in Sales Operations, Business Operations, Finance or related field
  • Proven experience of building scalable process across multiple teams/stakeholders
  • Knowledge of SaaS and subscription operations and best practices and/or in-depth knowledge of VMware operations
  • Ability to influence and drive senior executives to making decisions
  • Ability to interact and communicate with various levels in the organization from individual contributor to senior executives
  • Ability to lead work successfully within a matrix management environment
  • High energy and comfort working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong leader, self-starter and proven team player in a high achievement-oriented environment
  • Be a strong analytical thinker. Have strength in researching, understanding, distilling and communicating complex business issues & ideas
  • Experience in using multiple enterprise systems and tools to gather up and prepare data for the business (preferably SFDC, SAP, Tableau, Power BI)
