Senior Manager, Product Development Management - Gaming
The Client Peripherals Engineering is responsible for product development of Alienware gaming keyboards, mice, headsets, speakerphones, webcams among many other products. The Senior Manager is responsible for leading the multi-disciplinary engineering team to design, test and sustain these peripherals. The candidate is preferably a gamer, technology enthusiast with excellence communication skills to work closely with cross functional teams to define product features, manage design and resolve product field issues.
Key Responsibilities
  • Leads the engineering development of gaming keyboard, mouse, headset, and other gaming peripherals
  • Serves as technical mentor for your team and provides engineering recommendations to other functions on projects issues, formulates mitigation plans to address issues and risks
  • Establish relationship with cross functional teams including marketing, procurement, quality, service and operations on product design, cost and quality
  • Manages field issues, work with cross functional teams to determine root cause, solutions, validation and release of fixes
  • Manages the department budget and engineering resources to support on-time product releases, cost, and quality.
  • Attracts and retain engineering talents

  • Possess Degree in Engineering or Computer Science with 10+ years working experience in engineering product development and at least 4 years at managerial level
  • Experience in leading multi-disciplinary engineering team in an R&D and product development environment
  • Familiar with key components used in gaming peripherals - key switches, mouse sensors, wireless modules, and microcontrollers
  • Understand the characteristics of gaming peripherals and requirements of gamers
  • Knowledge in PC architecture, key electrical interfaces, and device/system dependencies
  • Familiar with software development and testing
  • Familiar with end-to-end ecosystem testing, interoperability, and compatibility
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills working with cross functional leadership team
  • Experience in managing engineering grounds up design and off-the shelf products
