Responsibilities:
The Singapore Security Manager at Micron is responsible for overseeing the physical security programs at site locations within the country. Security programs consist of; access control, loss prevention, workplace violence, intelligence gathering, threat analysis, countermeasure deployment, alarm point and closed circuit television applications, and investigations. TheSingapore Security Manager serves as the technical security resource to the local sites, which requires a wide knowledge of local laws and principles, theories and concepts in the field of physical security. TheSingapore Security Manager is responsible for overseeing and monitoring processes and procedures that are in keeping with Company directives, best practices in physical security, and the Law. TheSingapore Security Manager is also responsible for direct supervision of the Site Security Supervisors / Security Coordinators who are based in Singapore. TheSingapore Security Manager reports to the Asia Regional Security Manager at Micron.
In this role, you will oversee physical security operations for the sites in the country. Duties also include;
  • Manage contracted services providers to ensure high quality services.
  • Manage site security supervisors to ensure smooth operations at site; ensure consistent operations between all shifts and monitor for compliance of directives.
  • Ensure the implementation of Micron Security Standards & Guidelines.
  • Participate in the development of global security policies.
  • Increase management and team member awareness of Security.
  • Increase security awareness and responsibility to protect Micron assets.
  • Establish and manage positive relationships with key internal partners.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with local law enforcement and security providers.
  • Conduct or review physical security risk assessments as necessary and in alignment with corporate guidelines.
  • Conduct security investigations within a Micron site, as appropriate, in keeping with corporate requirements; consult Regional Security Manager as necessary.
  • Monitor conformance of contract expectations through the use of (KPI) key performance indicators.
  • Monitor conformance to security operational policy, standing procedures, standards and legal requirements through regular site audits.
  • Monitor and ensure implementation and maintenance of a security personnel training program.
  • Maintain security systems and equipment to ensure effective operational resilience in the protection of Micron assets and ensure proper reporting of malfunction for prompt repair/replacement.
  • Oversee general and emergency communication systems to include management of the Security Control Room, where applicable, and Lobby operations.
  • Review physical security set up of third party contractors upon request (may include scrap vendors, logistics and warehouse service providers).

Education and Background:
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 7 years experience as a security professional to include a minimum of 5 years successive experience managing security programs and personnel. Professional certification as Certified Protection Specialist (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP), Professional Security Investigator (PSI) or Industrial Security Professional (ISP) is desirable.
The candidate shall demonstrate the following:
  • Highly ethical, with demonstrated ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information.
  • Proven ability to influence, supervise, and lead others, solve complex and sensitive problems and work under pressure.
  • Effectively using organizational and planning skills with attention to detail and follow through
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge or association with security related consultants, vendors, and professional organizations.

According to the 'Employment Service Act', positions with salary lower than NTD$40,000, please refer to the salary information in the job description. Positions with salary over than NTD$40,000 will be subject to be discussed during interview.
