Job Description

  • To create the greatest first impression to the guests by greeting them in a warm, genie, welcoming manner while using the guest's name as per the reservation.
  • To contribute to a high level of service in accordance with the company's standards, as defined in the Standard Operations Manual.
  • To perform high quality massage treatments and other spa services as prescribed in the Standard Training Manual.
  • To ensure that all spa equipment is maintained & in working order at all times.
  • To be able to answer all questions related to spa services and promote treatment/product benefits to the guests.
  • To participate in a new training and refreshing program as required.
  • To be aware of the department's performance relating to Quality.
  • To be aware of the cost savings that can be made and implement as agreed. Respect usage of professional products & adhere to the guidelines given for each treatment.
  • To be aware of the spa financial position and targets.
  • Responsible for individual/team retail and treatment revenue targets as well as repeat guest's bookings including upselling, recommendations, and cross promotions.
  • To report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform, nametag and follow good hygiene habits at all times. Make- up is a requirement for female therapists & hair up as per the standard.
  • Assist in promoting spa & body care products to guests and offer full product knowledge.
  • Constantly maintain up-to-date knowledge of treatments performed and any revisions regarding skin care products or procedures used.
  • Work with the Senior Spa Therapist in the preparation of improving the spa in terms of service & overall performance of the spa.
  • Assist in the day-to-day spa operations as required. Ensure that treatment rooms are monitored daily for cleanliness and report to engineering any broken or damaged equipment.
  • To update the Therapist Log Book.
  • Attend daily/monthly departmental spa meetings as requested by the Spa Management.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate.
  • Certificate in Oil massage, Thai massage or Basic massage as required by the local law.
  • Spa experience is an advantage.
  • Anatomy and physiology course or internationally recognized therapy qualification would be a preferred skill set however not mandatory.
  • Ability to communicate fluently in the primary language of the workplace both verbally and nonverbally.
  • Experience in a five star spa or day spa.
