As a Manufacturing Central Team Assembly & Test Workforce Development (MCT AT WFD) Manager at Micron Technology, Inc., you will lead a team of workforce development specialists/engineers, and in partnership with Global Assembly & Test (AT) as well as Micron WFD network, support Global AT workforce readiness by effecting the optimization of the training and documentation infrastructure, processes, and products that enables manufacturing capability and competitiveness. You will collaborate with global business partners to enable strategic objectives and goals through workforce and leader development. Responsibilities and Tasks
Responsible for Team Member Development and Performance
  • Recruit, retain and develop Top Talent (Workforce Development Engineers/Specialists).
  • Identify and define group deliverables and success metrics aligned with the company strategy and Global AT priorities.
  • Responsible for the training, development, coaching, engagement and performance management of MCT AT WFD members.
  • Support MCT AT WFD leader succession planning.
  • Build, maintain, and support a positive work culture that promotes safety, security, and environmental programs.
Run MCT AT Workforce Development
  • Build and be a great partner with the MFG/MCT leadership team to identify the technical training needs for the MCT workforce.
  • Coordinate the definition of work for MCT unique positions consisting of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competency requirements.
  • Assist in driving alignment and standardization on training-related goals across the AT sites using common methods and metrics. Prioritize and align training area goals with counterparts’ goals across the sites.
  • Develop and lead various training programs.
  • Develop and be responsible for key performance indicators to meet goals.
  • Drive accountability through clear communication, informal feedback, effective project management, and the appropriate usage of metrics.
  • Recommend the appropriate training resources, methods, and programs that enable the technical skill development of team members.
  • Collaborate with WFD partners to support the sharing of Best-Known-Methods (BKM’s) for documentation and training.
Strategic Manufacturing Training and Documentation
  • Lead and facilitate world-wide efforts in standardization and continuous improvement of manufacturing training and documentation, to plan and prepare workforce for the future
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives and enabling projects that support Global AT Mfg, customer requirements, and Company objectives.
  • Work with peers and site functional managers to agree on a common direction on global initiatives and related strategic training and documentation projects. Identify and share the Best-Known-Methods (BKMs) across the network.
  • Support and drive network WFD activities within Global AT. Help establish the WFD priorities, ensure business value and realization (adoption) are accomplished.
  • Front Global AT WFD network as change champion lead with Global Learning and partners to reduce touch points and for end to end accountability.
