Job Summary:

The Systems Security team supports product teams to build secure products
and ensures the products meet all security requirements. We are working with various product teams developing storages, cloud appliances, enterprise operating system and systems management software in all phases of product lifecycle - from a design, implementation, testing and deployment.
Our team performs security review and analysis of the products and work with development teams on security fixes. We also develop set of internal tools that increase security posture of our products.
Job Description:
You will be responsible for developing and sustaining internal security tools. You will participate in security reviews of selected products. Based on your skill-set, you can participate in Oracle wide security technology initiatives with large impact within Oracle.
Required skills

Education:
* A minimum of Bachelor/Master degree in Computer Science/Engineering, preferably Networking /Security major;

Technical skills:
* knowledge of Linux/UNIX OS systems
* understanding of basics of software security and cryptography
* good communication skills in English (written/spoken)
* willingness to continuously learn new technologies and keep improving your skills
* have a passion for security and in improving SW
* good team player
Preferred knowledge:
* Ability to solve complex issues
* Programming in one of the following languages: C, Python, Java, JavaScript or other scripting languages (Perl, Shell)
* experience with web technologies (e.g. Django, etc)
* experience with OWASP ZAP or Burp Suite is a plus

Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.
Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
