Job Summary
As a Fab Support Technologist, you are accountable for monitoring, sustaining, and improving the equipment performance. This is done in conjunction with the production and process personnel. You will monitor workstation performance, manage detrimental issues and/or deviated processes, and make incremental changes to influence the flow of in-progress product through their assigned areas. You are responsible for keeping processes in the production line running at ideal efficiency while operating under the constant pressure inherent to a lean production facility.
  • Monitor tool performance
  • Schedule and perform preventive maintenance on assigned tool sets
  • Use mechanical, electronic and computer application software skills to troubleshoot and repair equipment issues
  • Assist with equipment installs, tests and commissioning
  • Recommend equipment procedures improvements
  • Increase tool uptime through detailed problem solving and troubleshooting and quality workmanship
  • Document all maintenance performed in established check sheets and tracking programs
  • Routine review of maintenance procedures
  • Monitor, analyze and address tool trends and issues on a daily basis and respond to tool alarms and RMS out of control issues
  • Diploma in Engineering or related discipline and/or equivalent experience
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of AC/DC circuits, including fundamentals of electricity and basic electronic components and circuits
  • Basic understanding of semiconductor equipment and processes, mathematical concepts and problem solving
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic problems and address root causes
  • Possess knowledge on the accurate use of common hand tools
  • Possess good teamwork skills and strong multi-tasking capability
  • Basic data analytical and reporting skills
  • Ability to be self-motivated and work effectively with minimal direction
  • Accept flexible job responsibilities and take initiative to assume added responsibilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable with flexible work schedules of 12-hr shifts
