Position Overview
Seeking an Application Production Support Analyst (L2) to support Cash Management and Accounting systems across APAC. This role focuses on maintaining a stable production environment, resolving incidents, and supporting regional payment operations and system releases.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide L2 production support for regional applications and users across APAC
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, including root cause analysis and workaround solutions
- Manage and track incidents, problems, and service requests, ensuring timely escalation and resolution
- Coordinate with regional and global teams to deliver permanent fixes and maintenance activities
- Support application releases, change management, and preventive monitoring initiatives
- Participate in disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity activities
- Perform end-of-day/month batch support and regular maintenance activities
- Support IT security checks and post-patch validations
- Maintain operational documentation and knowledge base, while supporting knowledge-sharing initiatives
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in support processes and system stability
Technical Requirements
- Experience supporting Java/J2EE-based applications
- Familiarity with WebSphere, Tomcat, JBoss, and related middleware platforms
- Strong knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL
- Experience with Unix/Linux/Windows environments and scripting
- Exposure to IBM MQ and Mainframe environments
- Familiarity with ITSM tools (e.g. ServiceNow)
- Knowledge of SharePoint and Confluence
- Database performance tuning and troubleshooting experience is advantageous
- Strong technical troubleshooting and debugging skills
- Experience in application production support within banking or financial services
- Strong technical background in web-based applications and payment systems support
- Experience supporting international payment systems in APAC is preferred
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Able to work independently with good escalation awareness
- Comfortable supporting weekend, holiday, or after-hours activities when required
