Role Summary

As an Academic Counselor at upGrad, you will be responsible for achieving enrollment and revenue targets while managing the entire sales process, from lead generation to post-sales support. You will guide prospective learners in planning their career paths, demonstrating how upGrad's online programs can help them succeed. Strong communication skills, a sales-driven mindset, and a passion for customer service are essential for success in this role.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Carrying weekly enrollment/revenue and collection targets.
  • Owning the complete sales closing life cycle for leads assigned to you. This includes making phone calls, product demonstrations, sales closing, and post-sales relationship management.
  • Engage with prospective learners via phone, email, and messaging platforms.
  • Understand the learner's background, goals, and motivations to recommend suitable upGrad programs.
  • Provide accurate information about course offerings, admission requirements, and career outcomes. Being a mentor and guide who potential learners can look up to for career advice.
  • Follow up with leads promptly and maintain a high conversion rate.
  • Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to ensure a seamless enrollment experience.
  • Maintain detailed records of interactions and progress using CRM tools.

Skills Required

  • 2 - 3 years experience in telesales & sales, preferably EdTech
  • Sales-driven mindset with the ability to clearly communicate offerings and meet revenue goals
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong consultative selling ability and empathy for learners.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools.

Employment Type: Full-time.

Working Hours: 9 AM - 6 PM (Monday - Friday).
