The Account Payable - Shared Accounting Team is responsible for overseeing the company's accounts payable functions across the entire East-West Seed group scope, ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices and expense reports. This role must maintain effective communication with vendors and internal departments, ensure compliance with company policies, financial regulations, and tax requirements, while supporting continuous process improvement within a shared service environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review, verify, and process invoices for goods and services received in compliance with company policies and authorization requirements.
- Ensure all document submissions comply with the established cutoff schedule.
- Perform AP accruals and ensure completeness of expenses at month-end.
- Reconcile AP aging reports and investigate outstanding balances.
- Ensure correct withholding tax (WHT) and VAT treatment for each transaction.
- Prepare and support tax filings related to AP (e.g., PND.3, PND.53, PND.54).
- Coordinate with the tax team or external auditors on tax-related matters.
- Prepare monthly and year-end accounts payable reports for internal use and audits.
- Maintain accounts payable files and records, including documentation for audit purposes.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance AP efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with finance, procurement, and other departments to resolve payment and invoice issues.
- Support system implementation projects such as ERP updates as required.
- Ad-hoc projects or tasks as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in accounts payable or finance-related roles.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes, bookkeeping, and accounting principles.
- Knowledge of relevant tax regulations and compliance requirements (e.g., WHT, VAT).
- Familiarity with Thai tax filings including PND.3, PND.53, and PND.54.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., D365, SAP, or equivalent).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Good English communication skills, both verbal and written.
