Job Description

Location: Pathum Thani, Thailand

Reports to: Group Finance Manager, Singapore HQ

The Role

Reporting to the Group Finance Manager based in HQ Singapore, you will play an important role in the Thailand entity's accounting and financial reporting process along with other finance activities.

You will work in a driven and innovative team to contribute to the production of new, clean energy sources that are ultimately helping to improve energy efficiency and reduce emissions.

Role Summary

  • Manage the Thailand entity accounting and reporting processes, including accounting for the impact of foreign exchange rates, statutory compliance, and elimination of intercompany balances for group consolidation purposes.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • Work collaboratively with other corporate finance team members and regional teams to achieve accurate and timely results.
  • Complete foreign currency reasonableness calculations/proofs.
  • Develop, and maintain process and controls documentation as needed.
  • Contribute to the preparation of the necessary audit schedules to support the financials and footnote disclosures.
  • Contribute with analytical reviews of monthly, quarterly, and annual financials.
  • Work with the Group Finance team in Singapore to align accounting policies and procedures for the Thailand entity.
  • Interface with external auditors for periodic financial reviews, controls testing and other inquiries.
  • Meet all statutory reporting deadlines in a timely manner.
  • Participate in special projects as deemed necessary.

The Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy/ Finance/ Economics.
  • Mix of public accounting (Big 4 or Regional) is preferred. CPA is advantageous.
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in the Commodity/ Oil industry.
  • Strong working knowledge of multi-currency transactions and related impacts on financial statements.
  • Excellent verbal / written communication skills in English; proficiency in Thai is required to communicate effectively with local stakeholders and government authorities.
