Accounting Officer
Responsibilities
Accounts Payable (AP) & Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Responsible for Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
Month-End & Year-End Closing
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.
- Support the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
Tax Compliance
- Prepare and file tax returns, including VAT and withholding tax submissions.
- Maintain tax records and ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and government authorities as required.
Inventory Control
- Conduct regular stock counts of medicines, medical supplies, and clinic inventory.
- Reconcile physical inventory with accounting records and investigate discrepancies.
- Prepare inventory reports and support inventory management processes.
General Accounting
- Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls.
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in a clinic, healthcare, pharmaceutical, or medical business environment.
- Familiarity with inventory management and stock control of medicines and medical supplies.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), taxation, and financial closing processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
- Experience 1–2 years of relevant experience in an accounting position (AP/AR/GL).
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines.
