About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented Finance Clerical Associate to support the RTR - General accounting function. The role involves managing general accounting related documentation, performing Balance Sheet reconciliations, and assisting with making accounting entries and data analysis to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial processes. Please note this is not a taxation-related role but is a function managing a process within record-to-report (RTR).
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update General Ledger (GL) records in accounting systems and spreadsheets, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Perform monthly GL and balance sheet reconciliations, including ledger-to-subledger reviews, and investigate and resolve outstanding reconciling items.
- Process and review accruals, prepayments, amortization, provisions, and statistical journals in accordance with company accounting policies.
- Conduct GL trend analysis and account monitoring, identify unusual transactions, and prepare corrective journal entries where required.
- Execute month-end close activities within defined timelines, ensuring accurate financial reporting and checklist adherence.
- Perform FX revaluation, VAT netting, and tax-related accounting activities, ensuring accurate recording of tax and duty transactions.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and internal teams to resolve aged items, reconciliation exceptions, accounting queries, and discrepancies.
- Support statutory and tax audits by preparing schedules, reconciliations, reports, and providing required documentation to auditors.
- Generate and review financial reports, including revenue reports from source systems, aging analyses, and variance reporting to ensure data integrity and compliance.
Qualifications:
- Any Finance Graduate
- 1-2 years of experience in Finance RTR.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and reconciliation processes.
- Ability to perform basic financial analysis.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication skills for coordination with stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in RTR - General accounting in Finance functions within a corporate environment in roles related to handling finance process or in similar finance role.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
