About Our Client
A leading organisation within the retail industry, located in Bangkok.
Job Description
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities, including general ledger journal entries and financial reporting
- Prepare financial and management reports to support business and operational decision-making
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain the accuracy of accounting records
- Monitor daily accounting transactions and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations
- Maintain and control fixed asset records and related accounting processes
- Prepare and submit tax filings, including withholding tax, VAT, and property tax, in accordance with regulatory deadlines
- Support internal and external audit processes by providing required documentation and explanations
- Develop and prepare reports to support business and management requirements
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and operational efficiency
- Participate in finance transformation, automation, and process improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with both local statutory requirements and corporate reporting standards
- Support administrative and ad hoc assignments as required by management
The Successful Applicant
A Successful Accounting GL Professional Should Have
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA or CA qualification is an advantage
- 5-7 years of accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a similar role
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations
- Experience with month-end closing and financial statement preparation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational and time management capabilities
- Proficiency in SAP or other accounting systems
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Good command of English
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and accountability
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
