This role shall be directly report to the Chief Financial Officer for the operationof accounting functions. Accounting Manager has the responsibility and/or authority to;
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the generalaccounting functions, including, but not limitedto: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes
- Develop accounting operation process withinteam for better control and improve team performance;
- Responsible for hierarchy and scalability in chart of accountsand accuracy in the generalledger and financial statements and has ultimate authority over classification and booking of all transactions;
- Supervise and manage team and co-ordinate with GSSC-Accounting Servicein handling the accounting functions;
- Co-ordinate with GSSC-Corporate Treasury to processproper booking for interest and Loan Transaction;
- Oversee closingactivities for month end closing,ensure that all transactions are processed properly with accuracy according to IFRS and local statutory report requirement as well as alignwith financial management reporting;
- Responsible for resolves client-billing problems and rescuesaccounts receivable aging;
- Responsible for ensureproper sourcing, justifiedexpense align with company policy and business need, verify payment transaction and control payment processed with timely manner, manage company expense with cost conscious mind;
- Support for preparation monthly cash flow report togetherwith rolling cash flow forecastfor cash management;
- Lead discussion and clarify detail supports as required by internal and external auditorsto complete annual audit;
- Responsible for filing haft year/annual corporate tax; annualtax return;
- Liaise with Company Tax Team to ensure companyfulfilment of its tax obligations;
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by Chief FinancialOfficer.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/Chartered Accountant preferred).
- At least 3-5 years of experience in Finance and Accounting, with a background in leadership, management, or supervisory roles.
- Proven experience in accounting management, with strong knowledge of general accounting functions (AP, AR, GL, and taxation).
- Solid understanding of IFRS and local statutory reporting requirements.
- Experience in financial statement preparation, month-end closing, and audit coordination.
- Strong knowledge of tax regulations, corporate tax filing, and compliance requirements.
- Skilled in cash flow management and forecasting.
- Demonstrated ability to develop accounting processes and internal controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Leadership experience with the ability to manage, supervise, and motivate an accounting team.
- Strong coordination skills to work with treasury, shared service centers, auditors, and tax teams.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to resolve billing and receivables issues.
- Detail-oriented, cost-conscious, and highly organized in managing payment transactions and expenses.
- Proficiency in accounting systems, ERP, and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively work across teams and with senior management.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
