Job Description

Our client is a well-established and growing regional industrial group with multiple subsidiaries across Southeast Asia. The business operates across several countries and continues to expand through new market entry, joint ventures, and acquisitions.

The organization has a strong focus on sustainable growth, operational excellence, and regional integration, with ongoing initiatives to strengthen governance, standardize processes, and align operations across its group companies.

This role will play a key role in managing group-level accounting and consolidation, while supporting the company's regional growth and expansion strategies.

This role goes beyond routine accounting and focuses on:

  • Leading group financial consolidation across multiple entities and countries
  • Supporting new business setup and overseas expansion
  • Managing accounting integration for acquisitions and new subsidiaries
  • Ensuring consistency in accounting policies and group reporting standards

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual group financial consolidation, including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statements
  • Perform and review consolidation adjustments, including elimination of intercompany transactions, balances, and unrealized profits
  • Ensure consistent application of group accounting policies and compliance with accounting standards across subsidiaries
  • Coordinate with subsidiary finance teams to collect, validate, and analyze financial data within reporting timelines
  • Support expansion projects, including new entity setup across multiple countries
  • Establish accounting processes, controls, and reporting structures for newly established entities
  • Align new subsidiaries with group accounting framework and reporting standards
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants on cross-border accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements
  • Handle consolidation for new acquisitions, including ownership structure, goodwill calculation, and post-merger integration support
  • Support finance-related aspects of M&A activities, including due diligence, integration, and ongoing reporting
  • Manage foreign currency translation and related consolidation entries for overseas subsidiaries
  • Prepare consolidated financial statement notes and supporting schedules for management, auditors, and regulatory reporting
  • Act as a key contact for external auditors on group consolidation and related accounting matters
  • Analyze group financial performance and explain variances to management
  • Drive continuous improvement and standardization of consolidation processes and reporting templates
  • Participate in regional projects and travel overseas as required to support subsidiaries and group initiatives
  • Lead and supervise accounting or consolidation team to ensure accuracy and timely reporting
  • Provide technical guidance on consolidation, group accounting, and expansion-related activities
  • Support team development to handle increasing complexity of group structure

Requirements

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification – MUST
  • Minimum 8–12 years of relevant experience in accounting, consolidation, group reporting, or audit
  • Proven hands-on experience in financial consolidation
  • Experience in M&A accounting, new entity setup, or expansion projects is preferred
  • Strong understanding of group accounting, consolidation principles, and financial reporting
  • Experience working with regional or multi-entity structure is an advantage
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken (required for regional communication)
