Job Description

As an Accounting & Operations Manager at Nightify, you'll take ownership of our core back-office operations, ensuring the business runs smoothly as we grow. From day-to-day accounting to HR administration and compliance, you'll help build the internal systems that support Nightify's expansion.

You'll work closely with the founders and leadership team, gaining direct exposure to how a fast-growing startup operates from the inside. We're looking for someone hands-on, proactive, and detail-driven, with the ambition to take on increasing responsibility over time.

This is a foundational role. If you enjoy bringing structure to fast-moving environments and want to grow alongside the business, this role is for you.

Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day bookkeeping and financial records using accounting software.
  • Manage accounts receivable and payable, including issuing invoices to clients and partners, tracking payments, and ensuring timely collection.
  • Handle payments to vendors, freelancers, and partners, including event-related expenses and outsourced services.
  • Manage payroll, compensation, reimbursements, and ongoing tracking of employee and freelancer payments.
  • Prepare and manage tax-related documentation and required statutory filings.
  • Handle company insurance, social security, and filings with the Department of Business Development (DBD) and the Revenue Department.
  • Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and service providers to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.
  • Monitor budgets, cash flow, and expense tracking, flagging issues early and helping founders maintain financial clarity.
  • Build, improve, and document accounting and operational workflows, including introducing better systems, tools, or light automation to replace manual spreadsheets where possible.
  • Support general office operations and internal coordination across teams as needed.

Qualifications

  • Background in accounting, bookkeeping, finance administration, or a related field.
  • Experience using accounting software.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high sense of ownership. You care about things being done properly, accurately, and on time.
  • Strong working knowledge of spreadsheets (Google Sheets, Excel) for tracking, reconciliation, and internal reporting.
  • Able to improve processes and introduce simple systems or light automation to replace manual workflows.
  • Self-directed and reliable, able to work independently while collaborating closely with founders and team members.
  • Fast learner with strong problem-solving skills, comfortable navigating new systems and evolving processes.
  • Experience working in a startup or fast-moving environment is a plus.
