Job Overview:
This role is responsible for leading end-to-end finance, accounting, and costing functions for a manufacturing operation. The position oversees statutory and management reporting, month-end and year-end closing, tax compliance, and fixed asset management in accordance with IFRS, Thai GAAP, and local regulatory requirements.
In addition, the role owns cost accounting and inventory control activities, including product costing, inventory valuation, and COGS analysis, while working closely with operations and warehouse teams to identify variances and drive cost transparency. Acting as a key liaison with government authorities, external auditors, and internal stakeholders, this role also supports system improvements, cross-functional projects, and financial analysis in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing journal entries, accruals, reclassifications, and supporting account analysis / schedules for statutory and management reporting
- Perform account reconciliations, fluctuation analysis
- Manage fixed assets (acquisition, disposal, depreciation, impairment and reconciliation)
- Review and Tax submission (VAT, WHT, CIT)
- Submit DBD document and all report to government such as the revenue department, BOI)
- Provide support for tax audits
- Coordinate with external auditors and reconciliation between IFRS and Thai GaaP
- Assist in ad-hoc financial analysis, system/process improvements, and cross-functional projects
- Complete monthly closing activities within strict timelines and perform balance sheet reconciliation
- Perform ad hoc projects/tasks as assigned
- Costing
- Own and manage cost accounting and inventory control end-to-end , including product costing, inventory valuation, and COGS analysis
- Analyze inventory discrepancies and identify root causes with warehouse and operations teams
- Reconcile inventory between physical stock and system records
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Minimium 10 years of progressively responsible experience in financial management from Manufacturing industry - Food industry (preferred)
- At least 5 years of supervisory experience
- Familiarity with financial reporting and compliance requirements
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
- Strong experience in Tax, VAT and Financial Closing
- Experience and are able to liaise with government department
- With DTA experience (if any)
- With tax's BOI/Non – BOI experience
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience SAP (preferred)
- Have problem solving skill and able to work under pressure
