Job Description

Join our dynamic team as an Account Officer, specializing in Account Receivable within our organization. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity and accuracy of accounting data for our Logistics business. Your duties include processing client payments to ensure precise, timely allocation within the existing accounting system. Additionally, you will be tasked with diligently following up on any outstanding payments, aligning with DP World policies and procedures.

Key Accountabilities

  • Assist in day-to-day finance transactions and data entry into the system
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly financial reports
  • Reconcile accounts receivable ledger on a regular basis and ensure aging is up to date, credits and cash receipts are applied on
  • Process and verify payments/invoices and follow up on discrepancies with vendors and customers
  • Book-keeping, accounts reconciliation and reporting any discrepancies
  • Attend and provide support in administrative duties for the Finance team
  • Assist in checking compliance with internal procedures and controls
  • Handling queries related to accounts receivable
  • Any ad-hoc duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree or Diploma, ACCA or equivalent
  • At least 3 years of experience in accounting & finance;
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles;
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment;
  • Ability to work independently with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency;
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
  • Hands-on experience in cloud accounting systems such as Oracle would be an advantage
