Overview
This role is responsible for ensuring the successful field implementation of the Sustainable Farming Program (SFP) by conducting pre-assessments, monitoring compliance, and guiding continuous improvement in sustainable agricultural practices.
The role also leads the development and delivery of effective learning materials and training programs to promote best practices among growers and ensure replication across expanding farming areas.
Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-assessments and field visits to evaluate SFP implementation status and readiness.
- Monitor ongoing farming operations to ensure alignment with SFP and GAP (Good Agricultural Practices) standards.
- Provide technical guidance and coaching to improve field compliance with sustainability criteria.
- Develop and refine learning materials based on pilot plot outcomes and best practices.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and learning replication across new farming zones.
- Design and deliver annual training sessions on SFP, GAP, and sustainable best practices for growers.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, growers, and external partners to co-create and implement process improvement plans.
- Act as a key liaison between field teams and central Agro/QA/Sustainability functions to align implementation strategies with business objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Agricultural Science or Agricultural economics (Major in Horticulture, Agronomy, Agro-extension, Plant Pathology, and Post-Harvest Technology.)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in agricultural extension management or agricultural procurement management or agricultural processing management.
- Strong knowledge of GAP, SFP, or equivalent sustainable agriculture frameworks.
- Experience in training design and facilitation.
- Good computer literature in Microsoft office.
- Good in English communication (writing, reading and speaking).
