AI and Data Science Analyst

We are looking for an AI and Data Science Analyst to join a team of Forward Deployed Engineers for one of our clients based in the US.This is a hands-on role in helping the company build and apply data-driven insights and machine learning solutions across Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain.

This role is the ideal role for somebody with a strong academic foundation in AI, data science, or machine learning, with minimum 3 years of experience and who is energized to apply those skills in a business setting.

The position offers a unique opportunity to scale advanced analytics and AI from prototype to practical impact.

Responsibilities

Support the development, testing, and maintenance of analytical assets (datasets, models, and dashboards) to enable AI/ML use cases across business functions.

Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and relationships in commercial datasets.

Assist in building and evaluating foundational ML models (e.g., regression, classification, or clustering) using Python or similar tools.

Document model inputs, assumptions, and performance metrics to ensure clarity and reproducibility.

Help visualize and communicate insights through Power BI dashboards and presentations and translate model results into actionable business recommendations.

Contribute to data quality and standardization efforts by applying consistent definitions and logic.

Participate in testing AI/ML solutions within Azure or Databricks environments.

Support AI literacy across teams by explaining basic model concepts, dashboards, and insights in simple business terms.

Requirements

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline required.

Mid-level: 3 to 6 years of relevant experience.

Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, Databricks, AWS, or GCP) or other modern data tools.

Experience in consumer goods or retail is not required, but a plus.

Skills

Working proficiency in Python (pandas, scikit-learn, or similar) for data wrangling and model development.

SQL skills for querying and transforming data.

Familiarity with machine learning algorithms (e.g., regression, classification, clustering) and experience training models.

Understanding data visualization tools, ideally Power BI or Tableau.

Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Effective communicator who can explain analytical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Collaborative mindset who enjoys working in cross-functional teams connecting data, technology, and business.

As the client is based in the US, we need somebody with a strong command of English and some flexibility will be required in working hours.
