Join Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Senior Manager of IT and contribute to shaping our technological future. In this leadership position, you'll guide a collaborative team of IT professionals while advancing digital transformation across our organization. You'll develop and implement comprehensive IT roadmaps that align with our business objectives, oversee core business systems, and ensure reliable operation of our IT infrastructure. This role offers an opportunity to innovate and contribute significantly as you collaborate with business leaders to identify and implement technology solutions that drive growth and efficiency. You'll be responsible for managing IT operations, maintaining security compliance, and cultivating a culture of excellence in technical support and service delivery.

    Requirements

    • Master's degree with 6+ years, or Bachelor's degree with 8+ years, of experience in IT leadership, product management, or technology management.
    • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
    • Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, Agile, Product Management, Cloud, AI) preferred.
    • Proven experience leading enterprise IT, digital transformation, AI, automation, or technology product initiatives.
    • Strong knowledge of enterprise platforms (ERP, CRM, e-commerce) and systems integration.
    • Experience managing cross-functional, distributed teams and external partners.
    • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
    • Demonstrated success in Agile product delivery and roadmap execution.
    • Experience developing business cases, prioritizing investments, and managing budgets.
    • Knowledge of AI/GenAI, machine learning, workflow automation, and process optimization.
    • Understanding of IT security, governance, compliance, and risk management.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking capabilities.
    • Ability to drive consensus, manage competing priorities, and deliver measurable business outcomes.
    • Travel up to 25%.

    Key Responsibilities

    Product Strategy & Roadmap

    • Define and execute the vision, strategy, and roadmap for AI and Automation products.
    • Identify opportunities to leverage AI, GenAI, machine learning, and automation to improve business outcomes.
    • Prioritize initiatives based on business value, user needs, technical feasibility, and strategic objectives.
    • Develop business cases and ROI analyses to support investment decisions.

    Product Ownership & Delivery

    • Own and manage the product backlog and roadmap.
    • Translate business needs into user stories, requirements, and product specifications.
    • Partner with engineering, architecture, data science, and UX teams to deliver scalable solutions.
    • Lead Agile delivery processes, including planning, prioritization, releases, and product reviews.
    • Drive successful product launches, adoption, and continuous improvement.

    Stakeholder Management

    • Serve as the primary liaison between business, technology, and executive stakeholders.
    • Build strong partnerships to understand business needs and align priorities.
    • Communicate product strategy, roadmap progress, and performance metrics to leadership.

    AI & Automation Leadership

    • Identify, evaluate, and implement AI-driven solutions that improve productivity, decision-making, and customer experience.
    • Monitor emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation.
    • Ensure responsible AI practices, governance, compliance, and risk management.
    • Define success metrics and measure business impact of AI initiatives.

    Team Leadership

    • Lead, mentor, and develop product owners, business analysts, and product professionals.
    • Manage a blended workforce of employees, contractors, consultants, and partners.
    • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
