The Head Analysis and Performance Group (HAPG), supporting read/write performance excellence across all products. We focus on driving yield improvement, root-cause analysis, spec optimization, and advanced analytics to ensure the highest performance and quality in slider manufacturing. Our work spans data analysis, machine learning, monitoring system development, and readiness for next-generation technologies

About the role - you will:

As an AI Intern in the Read/Write Product Performance Korat Team, you will work with Product Engineers to develop GenAI/LLM prototypes that support read/write performance analysis and faster decision-making in production. You will work with real manufacturing data, including image data and structured, column-based datasets. Key Responsibilities

  • Support integration of AI models manufacturing data for faster insights.
  • Develop basic FastAPI APIs for model inference with vision models.
  • Assist with web-based inference for AI vision models.
  • Build simple GenAI/LLM prototypes for automated reporting and anomaly explanation.

About you:

  • Bachelor's student in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Basic skills in Python, data processing, and API development.
  • Familiarity with ML/AI fundamentals.

Your experience includes:

  • Programming Languages (Python, R, SQL, HiveQL).
  • AI / Machine Learning (PyTorch, Tensorflow).
  • LLM frameworks (Chainlits).
  • Data Analytics (Pandas, NumPy, SQL basics).
  • Data preprocessing and visualization (Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly).
  • Computer vision model development (YOLO11, Transfer Learning).

Korat, Thailand
Our Korat facility is our largest manufacturing site worldwide, with more than 10,000 employees. Here, our team produces cloud-based storage equipment, from individual storage components to finished drives.
