We are looking for a Product-centric
Applied AI Engineer. Unlike engineers who focus on Model Training or Infrastructure, your role is the
bridge between the power of artificial intelligence and the user experience on our Mobile Apps.
You will work closely with the Product, Backend, and AI Platform teams to transform the latest AI ideas and technologies in the market into practical
AI Services, contributing directly to the product's growth and revenue goals
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
- Product AI R&D
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product Managers (PM), Business Units (BU), and the Product team to analyze user behavior, thereby researching and proposing AI application solutions for the Mobile App.
- Solution Design: Responsible for translating business needs into technical documents. Directly write FRD (Functional Requirement Document) and PRD (Product Requirement Document) for AI-related features.
- Market Update: Continuously explore and fast-research how the latest AI models/tools in the market (LLMs, Diffusion, Voice AI, etc.) work to provide the most suitable and cost-effective technology solutions for product problems.
- AI Service Construction & Optimization (Execution & Optimization)
- Prompt Engineering & API Integration: Design, refine, and optimize Prompts (Prompting) to maximize the power of LLMs/GenAI models. Package these solutions into independent AI Services.
- System Integration: Coordinate smoothly with the Backend (BE) team to integrate AI Services into internal systems and the Mobile App's workflow.
- Operate & Fine-tune: Work with the AI Platform team (system team) and the Product team to monitor AI output quality, continuously optimizing performance (latency), API costs, and service quality after launch.
Requirements / Experience
Technical Skills
- Programming background (Python, Node.js...) and software system thinking (Backend/API).
- Excellent Prompt Engineering skills; deep understanding of communication and risk control (hallucination) of LLMs (OpenAI, Gemini, Claude, Llama...).
- Clear understanding of API architecture, how to build and deploy AI-related Microservices.
- AI as a Tool mindset: You don't necessarily need to build a model from scratch, but you must be extremely sharp in assembling available APIs/Models to solve problems quickly and effectively.
Product & Soft Skills
- Product Sense: Ability to understand both the End-user's perspective and the business perspective.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills. Can speak technical language with BE/AI Platform teams and business/product language with PM, BU, Non-tech teams.
- Fast-learning: Extremely fast self-learning and adaptation skills in a field where technology changes daily.
