Job Summary
Support digital transformation by designing and managing AI/IT systems that enhance manufacturing quality, predictive maintenance, and production analytics for marine navigation equipment.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain AI/ML solutions to improve manufacturing quality control, predictive maintenance, and production analytics
- Manage and secure core IT infrastructure including networks, servers, ERP/MES systems, and cybersecurity controls in manufacturing and office environments
- Develop and integrate machine learning models for defect detection, demand forecasting, and supply chain optimization
- Collaborate with R&D and hardware engineering teams to apply AI in navigation systems such as sensor data processing and anomaly detection
- Ensure IT systems comply with Singapore's Cybersecurity Act and relevant maritime and industrial data standards
- Evaluate and pilot AI tools and platforms including cloud-based ML services, computer vision, and NLP tailored for manufacturing environments
- Provide technical support and training to internal stakeholders on AI-enabled tools to enhance operational efficiency
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for AI models, data pipelines, and IT systems to support knowledge sharing and compliance
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Data Science, or related field
- 3-5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and/or applied AI/ML, preferably in marine navigation equipment manufacturing
- Proficiency in Python and machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn
- Experience managing cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and industrial data systems including ERP, MES, and SCADA
- Understanding of networking, cybersecurity fundamentals, and IT service management principles
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, production, and business teams across multiple countries including China
- Fluency in Chinese (speaking, reading, and writing) is required due to collaboration with Chinese R&D engineers and customers (job related requirement)
- Familiarity with manufacturing quality systems such as ISO 9001
- Knowledge of IMO cybersecurity compliance requirements
- Experience with marine electronics, navigation systems, or the maritime industry
- Exposure to IEC/NMEA marine electronics standards
- Experience applying computer vision techniques for quality inspection
