Technical Engineer | Power T&D | APAC Region | MNC
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct technical reviews and evaluations for overseas prefabricated substation and power distribution projects.
- Support the design, integration, optimization, and engineering of prefabricated substations and associated power systems.
- Develop cost-effective and technically sound solutions based on project specifications, international standards, and local requirements.
- Prepare and review technical specifications, bidding documents, system configurations, and engineering proposals.
- Develop customized solutions including modular substation configurations and T&D system designs.
- Support sales teams with technical evaluations, customer clarifications, solution proposals, and project-related technical assistance.
- Define technical parameters and review engineering drawings, including Single-Line Diagrams (SLD) and General Arrangement (GA) layouts.
- Apply engineering best practices to improve system reliability, quality, performance, and competitiveness.
- Support projects across sectors including Data Centers and renewable energy such as solar, wind, and energy storage.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related discipline.
- Relevant experience in Power Transmission & Distribution (T&D) engineering, preferably with exposure to international projects.
- Typically 3-5 years of relevant experience, with candidates having stronger or more specialized experience also considered.
- Experience with T&D equipment such as AIS, GIS, transformers, and MV/LV switchgear.
- Hands-on experience in the design or integration of power/distribution transformers, MV/LV switchgear, prefabricated substations, SLDs, and GA layouts.
- Knowledge of load calculation, short-circuit calculation, transformer sizing, CT/VT selection, and protection relay settings.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD knowledge of BIM/3D design tools is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of T&D system integration, applicable engineering standards, and project specifications.
