We are looking for a seasoned Application Architect with 15+ years of experience to lead the design and delivery of scalable, high-performance software solutions. In this role, you will serve as the technical authority across multiple engineering teams, driving architectural decisions, championing best practices, and mentoring engineers to grow technical excellence across the organisation. You will work closely with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into robust, maintainable architectures.

Required Skills:

• 15+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in an architecture or technical lead role.

• Strong hands-on proficiency in React (including hooks, context, performance optimisation, and testing) and Python (including frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django).

• Deep knowledge of software design patterns (Gang of Four, enterprise integration patterns) and architectural styles (Microservices, REST, Event-Driven).

• Proven track record of enforcing engineering best practices: SOLID principles, DRY, clean code, TDD/BDD, API-first design.

• Experience with people management: building teams, coaching engineers, driving accountability, and resolving conflicts.

• Strong understanding of DevOps practices including containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi).

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present architectural concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Good to have:

• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP): Cloud Run, GKE, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, Apigee.

• GCP Professional Cloud Architect certification or equivalent.

• Experience designing for high availability, disaster recovery, and multi-region deployments.

• Familiarity with observability tooling (Cloud Monitoring, Datadog, OpenTelemetry).

• Prior experience working in Agile / SAFe delivery environments.

• Exposure to AI/ML integration within product features is a plus.
